Water damage in basement

Whether a pipe is damaged from freezing or some other cause, a tremendous amount of water damage can happen throughout the house, especially if not caught in time. In this house, the pipe that broke, flooded the entire basement leaving inches of standing water. The water damage effected not only the floors and carpet, but also wicked up the walls and effected the homeowner’s belongings. SERVPRO extracted the water and got the drying process started. They removed the damaged wall and prepped the area for restoration. The belongings were collected and sorted between salvageable and unsalvageable. The salvageable belongings were packed up by the crew and cleaned before being returned. The unsalvageable belongings were inventoried and discarded for the homeowner.
